Why this exists
A photo sent as an email attachment, uploaded to a cloud drive, or shared as a file can still carry the coordinates recorded by a phone or camera. Platform behavior varies, so “the app probably removes it” is not a dependable check.
How it is different
The page shows a map when readable coordinates are present, lets you remove location without automatically deleting camera or capture-time data, and scans the result again before enabling the download.
What it does not do
Metadata removal does not blur faces, hide visible landmarks, edit pixels, or prevent reverse image search. The first release handles one JPEG, PNG, or HEIC at a time; batch ZIP is a later step.
